Former President Hamid Karzai has said that positive results of the peace talks between the United States and the Islamic Emirate of Taliban in Doha, Qatar, are praised worthy. In a newsletter published by the former president’s office, he has stated: “With in the recent advances in peace talks, I call on all sides to stop fighting and bloodshed in the country, and agree on a ceasefire as soon as possible. »

Mr. Karzai also called on the government to release the Taliban prisoners from the prisons as soon as possible. On the basis of the newsletter: “I call on the Afghan government to release the sentenced, innocent, weak prisoners who are in jails of the government under the name of Talib and they should be sent back to their homes.”

The former president also expressed his hope that, as a result of the peace talks, Afghanistan will have a national sovereignty, progress and peace in the level of other countries of the world.
