At the height of US efforts to bring peace to Afghanistan in the most recent cases, former President Hamid Karzai warned today in a meeting in Kabul that the United States should not use Afghanistan in conflict with other countries.

In a meeting on peace and security in Kabul, Karzai said that if the peace process is not followed closely and backward, then Afghan officials will be responsible, not other countries. He said that the lessons learned from the violence that had taken place in Afghanistan in the past and that the events of the past should not be repeated again.

Mr. Karzai also said: “We do not want to post a new Afghan instability page again tomorrow, we do not want to have a strong government after peace, and the country is moving toward a peaceful militarization. And for the sake of assurance, now we have to make the very foundation of peace

Referring to the progress made by talks between US and Taliban delegates, Abdullah Abdullah, the chairman of the meeting, said that talks had begun on improving the outsourcing of foreign forces and that the Taliban should now engage in interfaith talks.

The head of the National Unity Government said: “It’s time for talks to take place. The issue of the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan has progressed among the representatives of the United States and the Taliban, but the fate of the country must be resolved by the Afghans themselves. “
