Hanif Atmar, a former national security adviser and presidential candidate, said the transitional government should be formed to bring about a new approach to the peace process
In an interview with Reuters, Mr. Atmar said: “The Afghan president makes the situation very difficult by taking steps to the detriment of the peace process. And calls for Ashraf to go to power. Atmar adds: After the government’s term of office on May 21, I support the formation of a temporary government. And given the rich letter of work, his absence at the top of the government will be better.
At the same time, Afghan presidential spokeswoman Aaron Chkhansuri said: Mr. Ghani has a clear plan for peace in the country, and has repeatedly been invited by the Taliban to enter the dialogue with the government.
