Heavy casualties of army forces in Balamorghab district of Badghis

Local authorities in Badghis report on death and injuries, of nearly 30 Afghan military troops in the war against the Taliban. Respondents quoted sources from the Taliban’s aggressive attacks on military stations in Bala Murghab district of Badghis. Ahmad Zia Akazai, a member of the Badghis people in the House of Representatives, said: “At least 16 army troops died and 11 others were wounded in the conflict which took place in Jar-e-Asia Area of Bala Murghab District.
The Taliban also announced in a newsletter that during their offensive operation on the Afghan forces check posts at least 20 military soldiers were killed in these and amount of their weapons and ammunition were seized by the fighters of the group. Meanwhile, the Afghan Defense Ministry emphasizes that the Taliban also suffered heavy casualties during this conflict.
