Helmand police arrested Taliban infiltrated organizer among Afghan National Police

The Afghan Ministry of Interior has announced that the Taliban’s recruiting in charge of Helmand province has been arrested by the police. “Police in Helmand have been able to arrest the recruiting head and financial head of the Taliban for Helmand.” Said Nasratullah Rahimi, acting head of the spokesman’s office in the Ministry of Interior, said in a video message. “These people were willing to recruit some Helmand youths at the first stage in Taliban ranks and then place them among the Afghan National Police, fortunately, these guys were arrested by the police today.”
The MOI insists that the two suspects were arrest with the amount of money and several documents that indicate they are the recruitment head of Taliban ranks. This is while the due to Taliban infiltration attack Gen. Abdul Raziq, Police chief of Kandahar was assassinated in 2018, a case that raised concerns on the infiltration of Taliban among the ranks of Afghan security forces.
