Helmand security situation was reviewed by senior security officials

Senior security officials arrived in Helmand to review the security situation as well as measures to hold the presidential election. According to reports, National Defense Minister Assadullah Khalid and Interior Minister Massoud Andarabi arrived in Helmand today to review security conditions and had talks with security officials in the province.
Afghan security officials are arriving in Helmand as Afghanistan is set to witness a presidential election in the next 36 hours, a trend that has been constantly challenged by armed opposition but Afghanistan security forces assure all citizens that they are safe to vote and exercise their citizenship rights.
