The Kabul Meteorological Authority has warned that in the next 24 hours Afghanistan will be witnessing heavy snowfall and rain. According to the newsletter: “Due to the changes in air pollution, there is a relatively high risk of snow and rain flooding in a number of provinces of the country.”

The department has emphasized that Kabul, Kunar, Nuristan, Panjshir, Parwan, Baghlan, Bamyan, Maidan Wardak, Paktia, Khost, Jalalabad, Logar, Laghman, Paktika, Ghazni, Daikondi, Faryab, Badghis, Herat, Ghor, Uruzgan, Zabul, Kandahar, Helmand, Nimroz, and Farah provinces will have a heavy snowfall of 20-60 centimeters, and the rate of rainfall in these provinces is projected to be 20-50 million meters.
