Officials from the Attorney General’s Office have released a newsletter that doubled violence against women in Afghanistan in the past three months. According to the report, in the first three months of 2019, 1,106 cases of violence against women were registered in 34 provinces of Afghanistan, which has doubled in comparison with previous years.

According to reports, most types of violence against women are said to be rape, such as rape, forced prostitution, the burning or the use of chemical, zoo or other harmful substances, injuries and disabilities resulting in death, injury and disability. Selling and selling women for the purpose or under the pretext of marriage, giving birth, forced marriage and the prevention of the right to marriage, including cases of violence against women.
