India will continue to support Afghanistan development with the peace process

Mohammad Omar Dawoodzai, head of the Afghan High Peace Council secretary’s office and representative of the president for regional concusses, today has met with Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj today. In this visit, Mr. Dawoodzai emphasized that the peace process in Afghanistan requires more cooperation of the countries of the region, especially India, thanks to India’s support for the peace process and its development assistance. During the meeting, Mr. Dawoodzai shared information with the Indian foreign minister about the peace progress, holding of Consultative Loya Jirga, as well as the ongoing challenges to the peace process.
Meanwhile, Sushma Swaraj emphasized that New Delhi will support all the things that contribute to peace in Afghanistan. Ms. Swaraj has said that all decisions made on the Afghan peace process are acceptable to India, and the New Delhi will work to support the peace process of the Afghan government in developmental affairs. The visit is taking place over the next few days, with peace efforts in the country rising further, and Germany is also trying to play a valuable role in the country’s peace process.
