Italy decides to withdraw its troops stationed in Afghanistan. A reliable source in the Italian Defense Ministry said on Monday that the government was investigating the withdrawal of its troops from Afghanistan in one year, Reuters quoted.
The source told the media, “The Italian Defense Minister, Elizabeth Trentha, has called for the country’s military to completely withdraw from Afghanistan within a year.”
Meanwhile, the Italian government deployed its troops 15 years ago in Afghanistan, with 1,037 troop-contributing military men in the West.
