Jens Stoltenberg: With our unity, we are stronger and more secure

The NATO Secretary General, speaking at the US Congress, said on the occasion of the Seventieth anniversary of NATO creation that the alliance of this institution and its allies should be broadened to survive and maintain this unity for the upcoming generations ahead. “NATO has made our continents and people more united,” Jens Stoltenberg said: “We have been working for this alliance for at least 70 years. Today, we must use our full power and work to preserve our unity for future generations. We believe that when we are united, we are stronger and more secure.”
NATO hosted its seventy-year anniversary, which is currently supporting the Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan. NATO also celebrated its 70th anniversary in Afghanistan, the currently the war between the Taliban and Afghan security forces after 18 years of fighting is still ongoing.
