Khalilzad: The withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan is time-consuming
Reporter: Mehrullah Mehrzad
Zalmay Khalilzad, the special envoy to Afghanistan’s peace talks with foreign media, said that the withdrawal of the US and foreign forces from Afghanistan will take years and so far the two sides have not reached a final agreement on this matter. Familiar sources in Qatar have announced that the Taliban have called for US withdrawal from Afghanistan in six months, but the Americans have said the process will take place in 18 months.
The US State Department officials have also stated that it is important for the citizens of this land to draw on the future of themselves and to determine that the only way to end the battle in this regard is to discuss the talks between the Afghans and the ceasefire in Afghanistan. Dialogue in a civilian way is the only solution and Afghans must decide this issue on their own.
