The Afghan Interior Ministry said at least two people were killed and two others were injured in an explosion of a magnetic mine in Kabul’s fourth district. Interior Ministry spokesman Nusrat Rahimi confirmed the incident and has stated: “A magnetic mine was displaced in a Caster-type car carrying Khurshid TV staff. The incident happened at 5:30 pm local time on Fifth Street of Taimany project.”
According to Mr. Rahimi: “One pedestrian and a car driver were killed and one pedestrian and two employees of Sun TV were injured as a result of the explosion.” This incident took place in a time that Taliban warned Afghan media outlets earlier if they do not stop their anti-Taliban broadcasting they would be targeted as military objectives.
