Local authorities in Herat province announced at least five people were dead and 15 others were disappearance due to recent flood events in the province.

Herat governor spokesman Jelani Farhad says to the media: “So far, more than 15 people have disappeared in the flood.” Meanwhile, local sources in the province said that five of the flood victims of the Herat-Badghis highway were transferred to a cold storage facility. Resources added: An average middle-aged woman, a young man, an old man, an eight-year-old child, and an eight-month baby, are including flood victims, but have not yet been identified.
