Malik Setez an Afghan elite and international relations expert has condemned the face-to-face dialogue between the United States and the Taliban, adding: “If I had been instead of President Ghani, I would call a group of impartial and prominent international relations experts from the United States of America (I know these international relations experts at the United States who are impartial and specialized) and I asked them to interpret the strategic treaty between the two governments. Then I would send the outcomes of these studies to Donald Trump and Mike Pompeo, the department of state secretary. ”
Mr. Setez also wrote: “We must learn what strategic partnership means. Otherwise, a US State Department official in Doha, Tehran, Moscow, Islamabad, and … will be determined by the convergence of the militia and prominent fighters against a nation and government on our fate. ”
While Afghan National Security Advisor Hamdullah Moheb’s earlier reactions were caused anger of American officials, he announced that since then, Mr. Moheb could not enter the United States because Washington decided to restrict him on visa issuance.
