Mike Pompeo: People of Afghanistan are lying and not trustworthy
Reporter: Ahmad Shakib Zaheer
The US Secretary of State called the Afghan people an unreliable and a liar. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called the citizens of the country unreliable at a meeting of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, insulting the Afghan people. Meanwhile, Mike Pompeo claims that Donald Trump’s administration is determined to end the longest battle of Afghanistan at the earliest opportunity, and Zalmai Khalilzad has been in charge of talks with Talan.
These statements by the US Secretary of State are being made in a time that Washington is now preparing for the sixth time to meet with the Taliban. Until now, the reason for this insult to the US Secretary of State is not clear, but some international relations experts believe that after the deaths of at least three US troops in the battle with the Taliban, Mike Pompeo has been angry and has raised the issue. Afghan government officials have not responded to this.
