The Ministry of Defense has announced that the Taliban’s al-Fath operation has begun in several provinces after the heavy defeat of the group, with the publication of a newsletter. “The Taliban have launched the operation after heavy defeats in Badghis, Badakhshan, Ghazni, and several other provinces to hide their heavy defeats,” the ministry of defense newsletter has also stated: “While the group knows well, Afghan security forces have multiplied their capabilities, their commandos have increased and airborne capabilities and abilities of the country’s security and defense forces have become wider.”
The Ministry of National Defense also wrote: “The Quetta Council called the operation, Al-Fatah, which in the past years had nothing to do with the horrors and bloodshed of innocent Afghan people in the cities and villages of the country. The group has sacrificed civilians for launching suicide attacks and explosions, and this time they try to sacrifice innocent and defenseless people in the land and justify their actions. ”
The Taliban have launched al-Fath spring operations, in a time that currently they have launched peace talks with the United States in Qatar. In addition, the Taliban political leadership in Qatar is expected to soon host a meeting between political leaders of Afghanistan, a case that has further expanded ambiguity regarding the outcome of peace talks with the Taliban.
