President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani stressed that the presence of women is not confined to government agencies and the Ministry of Women’s Affairs.

In a visit to Badghis yesterday, the country’s president visited a number of women activists in the province and ordered the officials in the province to prepare a list of educated and experienced women to give women more share in state institutions. The president of the country also emphasized that the presence of women is not limited to the Ministry of Women. He also said that he had ordered Badghis Governor to provide women with the opportunity to participate in competing positions.

At the end of the visit, many women and civil society activists in a separate conversation urged the president to create women’s recruitment in government offices, in particular, the prosecutor’s office, female judges in courts, and provide women with opportunities for commerce.
