Mohaqiq: Attacks on the memorial ceremony of Abdul Ali Mazari was placed in cooperation with the government

After a missile strikes on the memorial ceremony of “Abdul Ali Mazari death anniversary” in the 13th district of Kabul, Mohammad Mohaqiq, a deputy of the “Peace and Moderation” electoral team, attended a news conference accusing the government of involvement in the attack. Mr. Mohaqiq said: “Such an attack that lasts for half an hour cannot be done without the coordination of the government by ISIS. I believe that the attack was carried out by the government or in coordination with the government in order to make president Ghani happy and took revenge from his rivals.”
Mr. Mohaqiq added: “Since the beginning days of formation “Peace and Moderation” electoral team, “the government has been strongly opposed to us, and we have been targeted every time, and now you can see the latest example which was the attack on the memorial ceremony of Abdul Ali Mazari death anniversary.”
But the presidential palace says that these comments by Mr. Mohaqiq are regrettable. The presidential palace spokesman, Haroon Chakhansouri, said: “Mr. Mohaqiq statement is a source of regret and insult to the security forces. In addition, his remarks are insulting the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the people of this land. Any claims that are made by Mr. Mohaqiq are unfounded and citizens expect that he would be able to share all documents with the people in connection with these statements. ”
The missile attack on the “Memorial ceremony of Abdul Ali Mazari death anniversary” in western Kabul killed at least e people including two women and injured 28 others. The interior ministry said after the incident took place police has arrested the attacker. It should be noted that the ISIL group has taken responsibility for this attack.
