Following the Taliban’s delegation’s visit to Moscow, the second meeting intra-Afghan meeting the Taliban and the Taliban were held in Russia. Mullah Baradar Akhand, the deputy director of the Taliban political office at the meeting, said the Taliban are calling for peace and the end of the war in Afghanistan. “The Islamic Emirate wants to end the war and bloodshed and provide a lasting peace in Afghanistan, but provided that the barriers to this process are over”, said Brother Akhand.
Mullah Baradar emphasizes the willingness of the Taliban to join the peace process, which has now increased the desire of militants to move around the country. In the most recent case, Taliban fighters have sent at least 20 troops to attack the western areas of Firoozkooh, Ghor province.
