The Bureau of Meteorology reports the possibility of heavy snow and heavy rain in the next five days in 14 provinces.

The Department of Meteorology has published a newsletter that, based on the analysis of “synaptic” maps and meteorological models, snow and rain have entered the country from the western provinces on Saturday and continue to spread in Salang and northeastern provinces until Wednesday.

Rainfall is forecast today and tomorrow in Herat, Farah, Nimroz, Helmand and Kandahar provinces with relatively heavy winds. Precipitation is projected at 2 to 8m / day and it is said that there is a likelihood of immediate floods, flooding of roads and seas.

The department continues: Heavy snowfall is forecast for Sunday in Kabul, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Bamyan, Zabul, Paktia, Paktika, Uruzgan, Daikundi and some parts of Herat. The amount of snow in different places is between 1 and 2 centimeters.

The presidency also has a newsletter, which is forecast for tomorrow’s Sunday snowfall with “very severe” winds of between 2 and 4 kilometers per hour in Bamyan and Salang.
