NATO: any future decision on Afghanistan would be made jointly with US

Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary General joint a pre-ministerial press conference, in NATO HQ. As a part of this press conference, Mr. Stoltenberg has also stated that during this ministerial meeting, member states will also discuss Afghanistan situation as well. NATO SG has said: “Ministers will also discuss NATO’s role in the fight against terrorism. US efforts to reach a political settlement in Afghanistan.”
As Taliban political office and US special envoy for peace talks are preparing them self for the 6 round of peace talks in Qatar NATO S.G has also stated that Ambassador Khalilzad held consultations with Allies here at NATO just last week, for the fourth time. Jens Stoltenberg has highlighted: “our commander of the NATO Resolute Support Mission, and NATO’s Senior Civilian Representative in Kabul, are closely coordinating with Ambassador Khalilzad. We are in Afghanistan together and we will take any decisions on our future presence together.”
NATO secretary-general has also said that state members also stand together in the fight against ISIS, and NATO has made major progress. He has stated that millions have been freed from the oppression of the group during their joint cooperation in Syria and Iraq.
