New European Security Rules for Asylum seekers and Citizens in the Schengen Zone
Reporter: Qudratullah Lashkari
The European Union recently launched a new system to enhance security in the Schengen area, according to a report by Euro news. The system also requires citizens of the Schengen countries to get visas to enter the EU, even those who are exempted from the visa.
Reports also show that the security documents for foreigners who require visas to enter the European Union, including citizens from Iran and Afghanistan, will be monitored and evaluated throughout the visa process, but foreigners who are exempted from receiving visas, can be a security threat to this union.
For this reason, according to a new system that is due to be implemented from 2021, visa-free travelers are also required a Schengen visa to enter the Schengen area. This new system is called the “European Travel Information and Authorization System” (ETIAS). On the basis of this system, visa-free travelers must apply for a visa before traveling to this union.
