New round of Khalilzad trips for encouraging Afghanistan peace talks

The United States Special Representative for Afghanistan’s Peace begins a new round of tips. Zalmai Khalilzad is scheduled to commence his 15-day visit to Afghanistan, Britain, Belgium, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Jordan and Qatar, according to a State Department newsletter. The newsletter states that this tour will begin on March 25 and will continue until April 10 of 2019.
Meanwhile, Zalmai Khalilzad wrote on Twitter: “After two good and productive weeks in Washington, I’m on the road again to build on what was achieved earlier this month. Follow me here as we intensify efforts to bring Afghans together to discuss the future of their country & end the 40 year long war.”
Mr. Khalilzad insists on resuming US efforts after two weeks of presence in Washington, which is expected the new round of peace talks would be held in Qatar on 14th of April between Taliban political delegation and Afghan politicians in Qatar.
