The Salang district Police Chief, “Shah Mahmud Bahlol,” has claimed that they have arrested “Nezam al-Din Qaisari” commander of the Faryab Popular uprising Forces today. According to Radio Free Europe, Mr. Bahlol confirmed that “Nezam u Din Qaisari” was arrested when he was about to go to Faryab, the police said he was arrested after a clash with their forces in the northern Salang, Olang area.

Police said nobody was injured in the clash. Nezam U Din Qaisari is one of the prominent commanders to the first vice president, General Abdul Rashid Dostum, who was released by the government only on condition that he was not released from Kabul. Until now, the MOI has not expressed any opinion on this issue and, with much effort, we have not been able to take the point of view of this institution.
