The Pakistani Ministry of Defense has issued a newsletter stating that General Faiz Hamid has been appointed as the new head of the Pakistan intelligence agency or ISI.

Faiz Hamid is said to have previously been the head of the anti-intelligence department of ISI intelligence agency. He is one of four Pakistani generals who has been promoted nearly two months ago and now each has been assigned to new military units such as the Internal Information Service. General Assam Monir had been in charge of Pakistan’s inter-service intelligence for nearly eight months, saying that this Pakistani General is one of the anti-Afghan faces.
