Pakistan warns against endangering the Afghan peace process
Reporter: Imran Khurasani
At the height of tensions between Pakistan and India over the disputed Kashmir region, Pakistani officials have recently reported that the Afghan peace process is in jeopardy. In a recent case, Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States, Assad Majid Khan, told the New York Times that Pakistan is likely to move its troops across Pakistan’s border with Afghanistan to Kashmir, which he said could affect the Afghan peace process.
The statement comes as the Indian government has decided to restrict the freedoms granted to Jammu Kashmir and is currently in full quarantine of Indian forces. It is said that all public services and communications to Jammu and Kashmir residents are now completely cut off by Indian forces.
