Pakistan’s new commitments after the visit of Abbasi to Afghanistan
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and his delegation came to Kabul on Friday morning by invitation of President Ghani. In Joint meeting both sides discussed countering terrorism, regional connectivity, peace talks lead and owned by Afghans, border tensions alongside Durand line, returning of Afghan refugees by dignity from Pakistan, road making, railway projects, exchange of prisoners and finalization of “Afghanistan and Pakistan action plan for peace and solidarity”, newsletter adds.
Presidential palace newsletter also adds that president Ghani has spoken seriously about border tensions and has requested Pakistan to tackle such issues by political ways. President Ghani has emphasized that Afghanistan is a key to peace and stability of the region. He has also said in this critical situation our decisions will provide a better environment for the upcoming generation of both sides. It is worth to say that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has welcomed Afghan government peace proposal to Taliban and has committed once again that they will support an Afghan-owned and Afghan-led peace process.
