Population growth in Afghanistan a new headache for the government
Economy minister has announced that population growth in the country has increased that economic growth of Afghanistan and if this issue would not be controlled, it will have negative impacts on the country. Mustafa Master was speaking in “World Population Day” said that every year the Afghanistan population is increasing by 600 thousand people.
Mr. Mastor also added: Afghanistan population in 1968 was around 10.5 million and currently it has increased to 31.6 million. He said: it shows that in the past 5 decades Afghanistan population has increased three times. He also warned that if this phenomenon wouldn’t be controlled it in the upcoming 50 years Afghanistan population will increase to 100 million.
