The presidential palace press office has released a newsletter that President Ghani has deployed to the operational center of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) on Saturday, and closely monitored holding of the second day of the House of Representatives elections in the country. The newsletter also adds that The NDS officials have provided all necessary security information to the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

“The president of the country has acclaimed all the efforts, after reviewing the security measures, and he has praised the National Directorate of Security’s determinations to ensure the security of the parliamentary elections, and the efforts of national security officials to secure and raise their capacity for providing security.” This is despite the fact that on the second day of the parliamentary elections in the country, 253 centers in 21 provinces of Afghanistan were open to voters, and no security threats were launched in these provinces due to the election process by the insurgent group of Taliban.
