Qari Mansour, the famous Taliban commander in Baghlan, was killed

Security officials in the northeast of Afghanistan have reportedly stated that as a result of the operation of National Army Commando Forces during a clearing operation of Baghlan-Balkh Highway, a senior Taliban commander was killed. Security officials said this conflict occurred in the Chashma-e-Shair area of Polkhomri Baghlan center and resulted to killing of 4 militants including Qari Mansour. Meanwhile, the 10th battalion of Commando forces of Pamir Brigade has written in a newsletter that the commando forces have been able to destroy the Taliban’s operation center and also ammunition storage during this operation.
Army forces in the northeast claim that several villages have been cleared from the presence of armed opposition during the operation. In addition, after increasing insecurity in the Chashma-e-Shair area of Baghlan province, security forces have said that the commando forces have launched a refinery operation along the Baghlan-Balkh highway.
