Qureshi: China and Islamabad have a common vision for Afghan peace

Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, said in an interview with the Chinese media, that Islamabad and Beijing have a common vision for securing peace and stability in Afghanistan. “Beijing and Islamabad, in fact, have one more common interest and it is Afghanistan peace, we are calling for lasting peace in Afghanistan, so we support the official peace talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban.” the Pakistani foreign minister said. “I must say that one of the long-term aspirations of the two countries is the ownership of these talks under the leadership of the Afghan government.”
This news comes in a time that the US State Department said on Saturday that Washington hosted a consultative meeting on expressing their common view on the Afghanistan and peace talks in the country. Meanwhile, US, Russian and Chinese officials have come to an agreement that they should respect the Afghan people commitments and decisions and all parties will prevent from any kind of interference in Afghanistan internal affairs.
