According to reports, Afghan National Army (ANSDF) has been able to expel and recapture Khwaja Ghar district from the Taliban after 24 hours in response to an invasion by the Taliban in the Khwaja Ghar district of Takhar. Local sources say that Khwaja Ghar district was handed over to the Taliban yesterday due to lack of military assistance, but after the army’s efforts, the district was again seized by the government and Taliban suffered heavy casualties.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense has released a newsletter that at least 25 terrorists have been killed in Khwaja Ghar district recapturing operations. The Ministry of Defense’s newsletter also states that the operation was launched yesterday around 12:00 am, and now Khwaja Ghar district has been completely withdrawn from the Taliban’s control and presence. The Taliban raided two districts of Takhar yesterday to seize these districts.
