The Ministry of Public Health has announced that the number of people infected with TB in Badakhshan this year has fallen from last year. Qutbudin Boroumand, head of the TB control department at the Ministry of Public Health, said that cases of TB have increased in Daghestan, Yamagata, Cran Mangan districts. But in general, they have managed to control 95 percent of TB in Badakhshan.

Tuberculosis is a fatal disease that is more prevalent in wet areas, and TB has declined to a large extent in Afghanistan.
