Reporters Protection Committee: 23 women journalists are imprisoned in different countries

The journalists committee cited a statement on the occasion of the March 8th Women’s Solidarity Day: Among the 251 detainee journalists in different countries, at least 23 of them are women. The committee, which is based in New York, added that among the 23 female prisoners, only Zahra Doğan, a Turkish journalist and writer, was released last month after being released. Who was arrested on charges of opposition to the government, and Khadija Duman is one of them, who was arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment on charges of membership in the Communist Marxist Communist Party. Meanwhile, Turkey, China, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Vietnam and Syria are the countries where female journalists are imprisoned.
While most female journalists are imprisoned in Turkey, the number is 14.
