Several civilians were killed during an air raid in Kunar

According to reports from Kunar province eastern Afghanistan, during an air attack of Afghan security and defense forces several civilians were killed. Sayed Ghafor Jawaid defense ministry spokesman confirmed this incident and has said: “on behalf of Kunar incident, in this incident at least 30- 40 insurgents including several commanders of Taliban known as Mawia, Ghaznawi and Ghazi have been killed in this incident. According to reports several foreign insurgents including Pakistani and Uzbek fighters are also injured. We have received reports on civilian’s casualties, we are investigating on this regard anyone involved in this issue would be introduced to court.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Jawaid has also claimed that for pushing back Taliban insurgent’s Afghan army has launched several operations in different parts of the country. He has added: “in provinces such as Kunar, Nangarhar, Ghazni, Helmand, Kandahar, Farah, Badghis, and Faryab our operations are ongoing. These operations have caused a heavy casualties to the insurgents. Meanwhile we were able to eliminate several hide outs and drug factories which are the core financial source of Taliban in these attacks.”
According to reports currently Taliban has increased their attacks in several parts of the country which has cause a high level of civilian casualties.
