Shakila Ebrahimkhail won the Amnesty International Human Rights Award

Shakila Ebrahimkhail, a well-known Afghan journalist who is now living in Germany, won the Amnesty International human rights activist award. Meanwhile earlier this month she also won another prize from the festival entitled “Movies That Affect”. In addition Ms. Ebrahimkhail of Afghanistan, several others have also won the UN Human Rights Award, winners of the awards are from the United States, Russia, Venezuela, Indonesia, Colombia and South Africa.
Shakila Ebrahimkhail worked on one of Afghanistan’s leading media outlets until 2016, after emigrating she and her two children are living Germany, after publishing a report on how a suicide attack came from a private media outlet she flee to outside of Afghanistan in 2016.
