At least 8 policemen died and 15 others were wounded in an air operation in Nahr-e-Saraj district of Helmand on Thursday (Thursday 26 April). The National Security Council’s Advisor (NSC) has published a newsletter that states: “The National Security Council has been instructed a delegation to review this bloody event. Helmand officials have also been ordered to help the wounded to reach the earliest opportunity, and those who are not well off should be transferred to Kabul as soon possible.”

The country’s National Security Council’s initial survey shows that the incident was due to misguided coordination’s. In this incident, the commander of 601 Helmand Highway Company and some of his soldiers lost their lives, Mr. Moheb emphasizes that in connection with the event that the National Unity Government will take any action to support the family of the martyrs and also the victims of the incident.
