Farah’s deputy provincial council spokesman, Shah Mohammad Nayimi, said: “a mullah Imam has shot a three family members, in which at least 11 people were killed in the incident and wounding five others as a result of this shooting, allegedly among the victims of the incident 7 women and two children are also included. Shah Mahmoud Nayimi continues to say that the incident occurred in the Khak-e-Safaid district of Farah province yesterday afternoon.

According to Mr. Nayimi, Mullah first opens fire on his family members, but when two neighbors step in the middle to stop the incident, Mullah went to their homes and shoot the members of these two families as well. Local authorities in Farah continue to add that the incident occurred in the Taliban-led area and the killer was probably arrested by the Taliban. So far, the motive for this event is unclear. The Farah provincial police command also confirms this incident, but they have said that the number of victims has not been determined yet.
