While the Senate summoned senior security officials to respond to the security situation in the country a day ago, the National Directorate of Security General Director has announced that some individuals and parties were using the Taliban as a means to continue the struggle and to prevent peace in the country. Mr. Stanekzai also said: “The government is pushing for a peace process with desirable results, but a number of people are using the Taliban as and instrumental and they are trying to stop the peace process,” he said.

The appearance of the status of the security body in Kabul has plagued everyone. Hashim Alokozay, a Senate member, says: “Civil servants, Islamic clerics, jihadi leaders and businessmen are kidnapped or killed everywhere, security gets worse every day, and challenges are rising, but security officials are silent and they don’t have plans for this issue.”

These statements are being made while terrorists have even been able to operate freely inside Kabul. In the latest case two days ago, four 4 Taliban militants attacked a police station in the seventh police area, killing 3 policemen and injuring 3 others.
