Taliban attacked election material convey in Sar-e-Pul

According to reports, Taliban attacked election materials convey in Sar-e-Pul province in northern Afghanistan. 209 Shahin corps officials have claimed in a newsletter that early morning of Friday Taliban targeted the convey of election materials in the way of Sancharak district in northern Sar-e-Pul Province. And they launched an offensive attack, the officials have highlighted that this offensive attack of Taliban was launched in a massive amount.
The newsletter also adds: “currently the offensive attack of Taliban is set back and during this incident at least 8 insurgents were killed and 5 motorcycles of these insurgents were seized by Afghan army forces.” This attack took place in a time that Taliban insurgents have established their attack in northeastern of Afghanistan. Earlier Taliban has released a newsletter and warned all the people who are living in the areas they control that they wouldn’t participate in parliamentary elections and also they will not allow anyone to participate in this process in areas which are under the conflict between them and the government.
