A car bomb blast in Laghman’s province today (Wednesday, 16 October) claimed the lives of at least two security forces and injured 26 others.
The Taliban have now issued a message claiming responsibility for the attack in the province.
A car bomb exploded near Laghman police headquarters this morning around 6 am.
The district’s governor and a madrassa were close to the blast site, officials said.
Eyewitnesses say many civilians were injured in the blast.
The Taliban stepped up their attacks recently after US President Donald Trump canceled peace talks with the delegation over a Taliban attack on US troops that killed more than four soldiers.
