Taliban red company deputy commander killed in Badghis
At least 22 Taliban were killed and wounded in response to a battle with security forces in Badghis. According to Badghis Police Command Newsletter last night, a group of Taliban attempted to capture security checkpoints in Qadis district, but their attack was set back during clashes with Afghan national police forces based in Badghis.
The Badghis Police Command Spokesman, Naqibullah Amini, has claimed that the conflict lasted for 2 hours during these clashes 12 Taliban insurgents were killed including Red Army deputy commander of Taliban and 10 others got wounded during the incident. The security officials have also confirmed the death of a police soldier while he was killed in action and two others were wounded.
