Mullah Rashid, Taliban shadow district governor, was killed in a clash with Afghan security forces for the Sorobi district of Kabul today. According to the National Directorate of Security’s (NDS) newsletter, in addition to the killing of the senior Taliban leader in Sorobi district, at least three Taliban group commanders have been seriously wounded.

The newsletter also added that special security forces had launched a special operation to arrest the Taliban shadow district governor in Sorobi, but the group, having fought the security forces using residential houses as their shields, the reason was that they were willing to prevent the arrival of security forces. National security officials have also claimed to be more determined than before to prevent civilian casualties.
