The Taliban shot down a woman who was accused of cooperation with the government forces in Khawaja Sabz posh district of Faryab northern Afghanistan. Local officials have confirmed that the incident happened today, according to sources: “This woman was the mother of four children, but the Taliban shot her on charges of cooperating with government forces today,” said Mansour Azizi, commander of the popular uprising in the Khawaja Sabz Posh district of Faryab province, confirming the incident.
The Taliban have not yet stated their views on this issue, but earlier the group also killed a pregnant woman accused of collaborating with the government in Jawzjan district, a case that raised the concern of the Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) and defeated Taliban militants as denying human rights.
