In Tashkent conference participants has agreed, on six key issues, addressing the common interests and concerns of Afghanistan, our neighbors, and other international stakeholders  were highlighted and discussed. Salahudin Rabani Afghanistan foreign affairs minister emphasized these issues as follow: Regional and international support for the Afghan-led & Afghan-owned peace process, Regional consensus on the need to end war and violence through a negotiated political settlement, Call on the Taliban and the Afghan Government to engage in direct talks, Call on the Taliban to end violence and take advantage of Afghanistan’s unprecedented peace offer, Regional consensus on the need to adopt and implement a counter-terrorism and counter-narcotics strategy and Regional support for implementation of regional connectivity projects .

Mr. Rabani also adds: We agreed that in everything Afghanistan’s regional and international partners do, they must “do no harm,” effectively strengthening the hand of the Afghan State for peace or in defense of Afghanistan and by extension defense of our shared interests for a peaceful region and a stable world at large.
