After weeks of fighting and clashes at the last stronghold of ISIL fighters in the border village of Baghoz, in the city of Derulzor, the Syrian Democratic forces has officially announced the end of ISIS caliphate on Saturday. ISIS appeared in Syria in 2014, and at least a third of Iraq and Sham had been controlled by the terrorist group in the past few years.

In Syria’s Democratic Forces Newsletter, continues to state that ISIL group stronghold under the sovereignty of the group was taken from them after heavy fighting by Syrian democratic forces in the village of Baghoz. Meanwhile, Mostafa Bali, a spokesman for the Syrian Democratic forces, wrote a message on his Twitter page: “The Syrian democratic forces were able to complete the clearance operation against Islamic State Caliphate, cultivating the thousands of martyrs who fought for victory this weekend.»

ISIL has been completely destroyed by Syria and Iraq after at least five years of physical presence, but now the fighters are trying to create their foothold in the geography of Afghanistan.
