The center of Khamab district of Jawzjan province fell to the Taliban this morning. Taliban have portrayed police command buildings, district buildings and the rest of the local government departments.
Police in Jawzjan province confirms the fall of Khamab district center of Jawzjan in hands of the Taliban, according to the Pasbanan News Agency. Two days ago, during Taliban’s attack on security posts in the Manglik District of Jawzjan, two posts of popular uprising units fell into the hands of the group, and seven popular uprisings were also killed. Babur Aishchi, provincial council head of the Jawzjan, said the attack was launched Friday night in Sheikh Raz area of Manglik District.
According to the chairman of Jawzjan Provincial Council, after a security checkpoint collapses, the security forces who were in the second checkpoint also have a tactical retreat. The chairman of Jawzjan Provincial Council adds that Taliban have gathered a lot of forces in the district and are likely to attack the center of the district.
Meanwhile, another local source from Sar-e-Pul province said that the Bolghili area was also seized by the Taliban in Sar-e-Pul center, which killed six soldiers as a result of government forces and Taliban insurgent conflicts. Meanwhile, two nights ago, Taliban seized 15 police stations in Baghlan province without clashes. Nearly 20 police soldiers were killed in the incident.
