Security sources in Baghlan report the closure of the Kunduz-Baghlan highway as a result of intense fighting between the Taliban and the security forces. According to these sources, currently, armed opposition forces have begun widespread assaults on the highway of Baghlan- Kunduz, in the high-altitude zone of the Pul-e-Khumri school, and clashes are continuing between the two sides.
Security sources add that until now, these clashes have been the most intense attacks by the Taliban, and the Baghlan-Kunduz highway is blocked to traffic. Until now, although there are no reports of casualties on both sides, security officials in Baghlan claim that they have been able to end at least several terrorist attacks in these clashes. The operation is being launched when on Friday the Taliban launched their spring operations under the name of al-Fath.
