Security officials in the north of the country announce the killing of a senior Taliban commander along with 10 others as a result of the military operations in the Dawlatabad district of Balkh province.

Mohammad Hanif Rezai, the spokesman for 209 Shahin Corps, told the media: As a result of Operation Shahin 200 in insecure areas of Balkh province, 10 Taliban groups were killed along with a senior commander of the group. The operation is said to have been launched in Dawlat Abad district of the province for two days

Mr. Reza ads: In this operation, more than six areas of armed opposition have been cleared.

It is also said that during the operation, three artillery bomber strikes have been discovered and defused by the government’s armed opposition on the path to the (Surkh gonbad, Pull-e- Hayatan, and Qorshi Gak) areas.
